A Documentary about the Blue Ridge Orchestra

Filmed in Asheville, North Carolina this documentary is an intimate, behind the scenes look into Ashevilles own 60 + member volunteer community orchestra, the Blue Ride Orchestra.  Join the director as he follows the orchestra and its cast of characters through rehearsals all the way to their concert of the year, a breathtaking symphonic tribute to the late and great tenor Luciano Pavarotti.

This look at of one of America’s few remaining community orchestras provides us a sometimes humorous yet always heartwarming look into what exactly it is that keeps this colorful small town orchestra together year after year.   You will learn what goes into a symphonic production and why anyone in their right mind would give so much of time and energy to play in an orchestra where not only do you not get paid, but you pay dues for the pleasure of playing in it.
