Dear Friends of the Blue Ridge Orchestra,

The mission of the Blue Ridge Orchestra (BRO) is to present quality symphonic music in a variety of settings for a diverse audience, and to serve as a recognized leader in culture and music education for our greater Asheville area.

As we prepare to move into our second decade, the Blue Ridge Orchestra remains one of Asheville’s hidden musical treasures.  We hope you will discover the wonderful music being created in your backyard, and through your financial support, help us enrich and broaden the musical horizons of our vibrant community!

For those of you who may not know, the Blue Ridge Orchestra is:

1. A local, volunteer ensemble of accomplished community musicians who have a passion for the performance of quality symphonic repertoire
2. Comprised of over 50 musicians (ages 15 to 75 years-young) and continuing to grow
3. Committed to presenting a series of quality concerts throughout the year to the public and to school children throughout the Asheville area

While the BRO is a volunteer orchestra, the production of our concert series and educational programs largely depends upon financial support from community members and sponsors who recognize the importance of music to the fabric of life in our region. The Blue Ridge Orchestra is a tax-exempt nonprofit corporation, and represents an ideal opportunity for local businesses to promote their commitment and connection to music, music education, and the arts.

Friends of the BRO are recognized in all printed programs distributed during each performance and will appear on our website www.blueridgeorchestra.org. Whatever category of support you choose, you can be assured that your contribution will help make a significant difference to the BRO & the community!
